1:1 بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ	Bismi Allāhi ar-Raḥmāni ar-Raḥīm<br>বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমানির রাহিম	In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<br>পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু আল্লাহর নামে।	رَحْمَٰن (Raḥmān), رَحِيم (Raḥīm): Root ر-ح-م (r-ḥ-m) = mercy, compassion. Derived: رَحْمَة (raḥmah) = mercy.	Hebrew: רחום (raḥum) = compassionate, Aramaic: רחמא (raḥmā) = mercy	Every action should begin with Allah’s name, acknowledging His mercy and compassion.	Quran 27:30: "It is from Solomon, and it is: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful." 89:14 - "Indeed, your Lord is All-Hearing and All-Knowing."
1:2 ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ	Al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbi l-‘ālamīn<br>আলহামদু লিল্লাহি রাব্বিল ‘আলামিন	All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.<br>সকল প্রশংসা আল্লাহর, যিনি সকল জগতের পালনকর্তা।	حَمْد (ḥamd): Root ح-م-د (ḥ-m-d) = praise. رَبّ (rabb): Root ر-ب-ب (r-b-b) = lord, sustainer. عَالَمِين (‘ālamīn): Root ع-ل-م (‘-l-m) = world, creation.	Hebrew: הלל (hallel) = praise, רב (rav) = master, Aramaic: עלמא (alma) = world	Allah is praised for His perfection and for being the sustainer of all creation.	Quran 6:45: "And praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds." 6:1 - "All praise is for Allah, who created the heavens and the earth."
1:3 ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ	Ar-Raḥmāni ar-Raḥīm<br>আর-রাহমানির রাহিম	The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<br>পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।	See 1:1 above.	See 1:1 above.	Allah’s mercy encompasses all things, both in this world and the next.	Quran 7:156: "My mercy encompasses all things."
1:4 مَـٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ	Māliki yawmi d-dīn<br>মালিকি ইয়াওমিদ্দিন	Master of the Day of Judgment.<br>বিচার দিনের মালিক।	مَالِك (mālik): Root م-ل-ك (m-l-k) = to possess, own. دِين (dīn): Root د-ي-ن (d-y-n) = judgment, religion, recompense.	Hebrew: מלך (melech) = king, דין (din) = judgment, Aramaic: דינא (dina) = judgment	Allah alone has authority over the Day of Judgment; ultimate justice belongs to Him.	Quran 82:17-19: "And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? ... the Day when no soul will possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah." 18:49 - "And the record of deeds will be placed [open]."
1:5 إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ	Iyyāka na‘budu wa iyyāka nasta‘īn<br>ইয়্যাকা নাআবুদু ওয়া ইয়্যাকা নাস্তা‘ঈন	You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help.<br>আমরা শুধু তোমারই ইবাদত করি এবং শুধু তোমারই সাহায্য চাই।	نَعْبُدُ (na‘budu): Root ع-ب-د (‘-b-d) = to worship, serve. نَسْتَعِينُ (nasta‘īn): Root ع-و-ن (‘-w-n) = to seek help.	Hebrew: עבד (‘avad) = to serve, עזר (‘azar) = to help, Aramaic: עבד (‘avad) = to serve	Sincerity in worship and reliance on Allah alone; foundation of Tawhid (monotheism).	Quran 17:23: "And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him..."
1:6 ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ	Ihdinā ṣ-ṣirāṭ al-mustaqīm<br>ইহদিনাস সিরাতাল মুস্তাকিম	Guide us to the straight path.<br>আমাদেরকে সরল পথ দেখাও।	ٱهْدِنَا (ihdinā): Root ه-د-ي (h-d-y) = to guide. صِرَاط (ṣirāṭ): path, road. مُسْتَقِيم (mustaqīm): Root ق-و-م (q-w-m) = straight, upright.	Hebrew: דרך (derekh) = path, יָשָׁר (yashar) = straight, Aramaic: אורח (orakh) = path	Supplication for guidance to the path of truth, righteousness, and salvation.	Quran 6:153: "And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it..." 4:69 - "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger..."
1:7 صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ	Ṣirāṭ alladhīna an‘amta ‘alayhim ghayri l-maghḍūbi ‘alayhim wa la ḍ-ḍāllīn<br>সিরাতাল্লাযিনা আন‘আমতা ‘আলাইহিম গাইরিল মাগদুবি ‘আলাইহিম ওয়ালা দ্দাল্লিন	The path of those You have blessed, not of those who have earned Your anger nor of those who go astray.<br>তাদের পথ, যাদের প্রতি তুমি অনুগ্রহ করেছ, তাদের নয়, যারা তোমার গজবের শিকার হয়েছে এবং যারা পথভ্রষ্ট।	أَنْعَمْتَ (an‘amta): Root ن-ع-م (n-‘-m) = to bestow favor. مَغْضُوب (maghḍūb): Root غ-ض-ب (gh-ḍ-b) = anger. ضَالِّين (ḍāllīn): Root ض-ل-ل (ḍ-l-l) = to go astray.	Hebrew: נעם (na‘am) = to be pleasant, זעם (za‘am) = anger, תעה (ta‘ah) = to go astray, Aramaic: דלל (dalal) = to err	The straight path is that of the prophets, truthful, martyrs, and righteous; not the path of those who incurred wrath (e.g., rejecters) or went astray (e.g., those who lost the way).	Quran 4:69: "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger... those are with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor..." 5:54 - "O you who have believed, take not the Jews and the Christians as allies..."
