### Preparations for the Divine Mission **Call to Action** You, wrapped in your cloak, arise and give warning. This is a divine command to prepare for a great task: to warn humanity, awaken them, and save them from evil in this life and the fire in the hereafter. This mission is daunting, assigned to a single individual, even one chosen as God's Prophet and Messenger. Humanity has strayed far, steeped in sin, rebellion, and arrogance, making advocacy of the divine faith an immensely challenging endeavor. **Glorifying God** Glorify your Lord's greatness. Only God is great and worthy of glorification, emphasizing His oneness. All else—people, creatures, values—pales in comparison. This principle strengthens the Prophet, reminding him that no force can impede his work when God alone is supreme. Advocates of the divine message must hold this truth close to endure their difficult task. **Maintaining Purity** Clean your garments, symbolizing purity of heart, high moral values, and clean actions. This purity is essential for receiving divine instructions and aligns with the nature of the Islamic message. In a world filled with filth and indecency, the advocate must remain untainted to guide others effectively. **Avoiding Falsehood** Stay away from all filth, meaning polytheism and actions that lead to divine punishment. The Prophet, even before his mission, embodied an upright nature, rejecting deviation and immorality. This directive declares a clear separation between the path of truth and the ways of error. **Selflessness in Giving** Do not hold up what you give, thinking it is much. The Prophet must sacrifice greatly but not dwell on his efforts. True advocacy requires giving without feeling the weight of the sacrifice, recognizing it as part of God's grace. This mindset ensures humility and focus on duty. **Patience in Adversity** Turn to your Lord in patience. Patience is the cornerstone of advocating God's message, a battle against personal desires and external enemies. It is the most effective weapon for enduring this long and arduous struggle, undertaken solely to please God. --- ### The Warning of the Hereafter **A Day of Anguish** When the trumpet sounds, it will herald a day of anguish, far from easy for unbelievers. The sharp, piercing sound signals a day of unrelenting hardship, described to instill distress and urgency. People must heed the warning before this inevitable day arrives. --- ### Condemnation of the Arrogant Unbeliever **A Rebellious Individual** Leave to Me the one I created alone, to whom I granted vast wealth, sons by his side, and a life of ease, yet he greedily desires more. This person, likely a prominent figure opposing the message, is ungrateful and envious, even coveting divine revelation. His stubborn rejection of the truth earns a stern rebuke. **Scheming Against the Truth** He thought and schemed, looking around, frowning, and glaring in arrogance. His efforts to discredit the divine message—calling it mere sorcery or human words—are futile. His actions are painted as laughable, a caricature of pride and ignorance, making him a figure of derision for all time. **Punishment for Defiance** I will cast him into the scorching fire, a terrifying fate that leaves nothing and spares nothing. This fire, guarded by nineteen angels, appears before humanity, striking fear into those destined for its torment. The number of guards serves as a test, revealing the unbelievers' ignorance and mockery. --- ### The Test of Faith **Angelic Guardians** The fire is guarded by angels, whose nature and strength are known only to God. Their number, nineteen, is a test for unbelievers, who mock it ignorantly. Believers and those with past revelations accept it, growing firmer in faith, while the sick-hearted question its meaning, revealing their doubt. **Divine Will and Guidance** God guides or lets astray whomever He wills. His will is absolute, encompassing all actions in the universe. Humans have the freedom to choose guidance or error, but their choices align with God's overarching will. This truth encourages submission to God, avoiding futile debates about predestination. --- ### Universal Signs and Responsibility **Creation as Evidence** By the moon, the departing night, and the shining dawn, God swears to the greatness of His creation. These familiar yet profound sights—the moon’s glow, the night’s serenity, the dawn’s awakening—point to His limitless power and wisdom. They serve as a warning of the hereafter’s reality. **Individual Accountability** Every soul is responsible for its actions, choosing to advance or lag behind. Each is held accountable for its deeds, with no one bearing another’s burden. This principle, set against the backdrop of universal truths and the fire’s terror, underscores personal responsibility. --- ### The Fate of the Righteous and the Guilty **The Righteous** Those on the right hand, the believers, will dwell in gardens, blessed by God’s grace. They will question the guilty, standing in dignity, a reversal of their earthly struggles. This scene highlights the honor bestowed upon the faithful. **Confession of the Guilty** The guilty confess their wrongs: they did not pray, symbolizing their lack of faith; they neglected the needy, showing no compassion; they indulged in vain talk, treating faith lightly; and they denied the Day of Judgment. Their denial persisted until death brought undeniable certainty, leaving no room for redemption. **No Intercession** No intercessors can aid the guilty; their fate is sealed. This finality emphasizes the consequences of their choices, urging reflection while there is still time. --- ### Human Resistance and Divine Reminder **Fleeing from Guidance** What is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, like terrified asses fleeing a lion? This vivid image mocks their panic at the mere reminder of God, exposing their irrational rejection of guidance that offers salvation. **Envy and Denial** Each unbeliever envies the Prophet’s revelation, desiring similar status. Their grudge, rooted in pride, fuels their denial. Their lack of fear of the hereafter blinds them to the truth, leading to their illogical resistance. **A Final Call** This is an admonition; let whoever wills take heed. The divine message is a clear reminder, open to all who choose to listen. The choice is theirs, leading to either dignity or humiliation. --- ### Submission to Divine Will **God’s Absolute Will** They will not take heed unless God wills. His will is unbound, governing all creation. Humans act within this framework, their choices aligning with His decree. Recognizing this fosters submission and trust in God’s wisdom. **Fear and Forgiveness** God is the Lord to be feared and the Lord of forgiveness. Fearing Him leads to forgiveness, a balance that encourages devotion and hope. The message concludes with a call to seek God’s guidance, aspiring to His mercy.
