David Ramon Hawkins (* June 3, 1927 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin , ✝ September 19, 2012 in Sedona , Arizona ) was an American mystic , physician,psychiatrist , spiritual teacher and author.
Hawkins worked as a psychiatrist and headed a large psychiatric practice in the State of New York . After the abolishment of clinical activity in 1980, living in seclusion Hawkins employed for seven years, primarily with spirituality and consciousness . In 1995 he published the book "The levels of consciousness."
Hawkins' main concern was the promotion of spirituality in man. After his apprenticeship, spiritual growth is the most basic and most fundamental means for the relief of suffering in this world. In its eyes, people live on different levels of consciousness and accept reality and truth in relation to their level true. Hawkins died peacefully at the age of 85 years on 19 September 2012 in Sedona, Arizona, USA.

Hawkins grew up in the USA in Wisconsin. After autobiographical details he had extraordinary spiritual experiences as a child and adolescent. The levels of consciousness [ Edit ]
Hawkins developed from their own spiritual experiences and his kinesiological testing out a "Scale of Consciousness". Hawkins emphasized in his teaching that there are no contradictions in the non-linear, non-dualistic reality of the higher levels of consciousness.
